Setting the Bar Really Low You Can't Lose

Dear Friends,

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you've fallen out of a healthy routine, and getting back into it seems like an insurmountable challenge? I know I have. In fact, it's a situation many of us have faced at one point or another. Whether it's hitting the gym or sticking to a new diet plan, the key to success is often found in the simplest of strategies.

Today, I realised I hadn't been to the gym in a few weeks. My rhythm was lost, and the motivation to return seemed far away. Instead of trying to come up with a grand plan or setting high expectations, I simply decided to go to the gym – no frills, no pressure, and no minimum time requirement.

I found that once I had actually stepped foot inside the gym, the motivation to exercise began to flow again. The first set of bicep curls was tough, but the second set was fine. By the third set, I felt pumped and motivated to crush a solid workout. It was as if my body remembered the routine and was ready to get back on track. This simple act of showing up, even without a plan, was the key to reigniting my fire.

What I learned from this experience today is that it's essential to remember that sometimes the hardest part is just getting started. By setting the bar low and focusing on simply taking that first step, we can overcome the inertia that often keeps us stuck in a rut. Don't let the fear of failure or the pressure to perform keep you from taking action. Instead, try setting the bar really low – so low that you can't miss it. This approach can help you break the cycle of inaction and rekindle your motivation to pursue your goals.

Ultimately, it's not about how high you set the bar, but how consistently you show up and take those small, manageable steps. So, set the bar low and see how things become that much easier without the high expectations and the invisible pressure we can sometimes force upon us.

Clean Motivation — I recently found these clean motivational posters, I’ve bought 2 and put them up in my room. Super clean and nice dose of daily motivation.

Skin + Me — Hands down, this is the best skincare product I’ve bought. It’s easy to remember to use each night and contains personalised ingredients.

As always be safe, and be happy.
